Boating and Sailing in Prince Albert National Park
Bring your own boat or rent one from one of three marinas in the park. The vast and pristine waters of Waskesiu, Sandy, Hanging Hearts, and Crean lakes will play host to your water adventures. While you are out cruising keep a watchful eye on the shorelines for pelicans, moose, elk, bald eagles, and other wildlife.
For the adventurer, bring a small boat (under 40 hp) to Kingsmere Lake and tackle the kilometre-long railcart portage. You will be rewarded with spectacular wilderness and remote beaches!
Marina facilities, including boat rentals, are located on Waskesiu Lake at the Waskesiu Lake Main Marina, the Narrows, and at the Hanging Heart Lakes Marina. Contact the Waskesiu Marina Adverture Centre at 306.663.1999 or www.waskesiumarina.com for details.
We don’t need to tell you that one of the greatest ways to experience the deep waters and sandy shores of the park’s lakes is by letting the wind guide you. Moor your boat off of one of the gorgeous beaches and have a picnic on shore.
Boat launches available at Sandy, Waskesiu and Hanging Heart lakes.
