Corporate Information

The Waskesiu Wilderness Region was the brainchild of a group of local business people who got together in 2010. Things quickly progressed from discussions to concrete actions, and an executive director was hired to guide the organization in 2011. Although the name of the group changed, the original vision remained; this group would promote sustainable and authentic experiences in this fabulous region of natural resources and cultural significance.

Weather Info

The weather in Saskatchewan plays a great role in our lives, much like the diverse landscape does. We are favoured with four distinct seasons and we spend time outdoors no matter what the mercury level is. We skate on the lakes when they’re frozen and swim in them when they’re not. Experience memorable summer thunderstorms, striking autumn colours, crisp winter days and mild springs in Canada’s sunniest province.
